Dr Shorful Islam
Shorful leads the firm's public work on data culture for capital. He is CEO of Be Data Solutions and founder of Subatomic Analytics (related parties: see our disclosure), and earlier co-founded Stream Intelligence. He was Chief Data Scientist at Tribal Worldwide and Chief Product and Data Officer at OutThink, and has led data teams at Wunderman, adam&eve/DDB and ITV. He began as a researcher in the NHS and local government. He holds a PhD in Child Health Psychology from the University of Lincoln. His book Data Culture (Kogan Page, 2024) was shortlisted for the Business Book Awards 2025. He sits on the Board of Governance at Nelson College London.
Founder
Rashed Mamun
Rashed has worked in international development since 2015. With a colleague, he prepared investment pitch decks and business cases for agricultural value-chain opportunities under a donor-funded programme. He led a mixed-methods study for an international foundation and designed curricula and incubation programmes for international NGOs. He is currently leading a landscape analysis and costed investment case across two Asian countries, for a programme funded through a multilateral development bank. Previously he headed the project management unit of a consulting firm, delivering development-bank and donor-funded projects in six countries. He leads engagements.
